New interactive Training Course about ‘Collaborative Management Methods for Stakeholders’ was held in Regensburg.
From 24th to the 27th June 2014 the fourth and last Management Course within the frame of the EU-Project ‘HerMan – Management of the Cultural Heritage in the Central Europe Area’ took place in Regensburg.
World Heritage Coordinator Matthias Ripp welcomed twelve participants from seven different project partners to the workshop. For three days the group worked on the topic ‘Collaborative Management Methods for Stakeholders’. Methods to involve stakeholder were discussed and the importance and techniques of moderation trained. Another central point was to perceive the management of world heritage as being an interdisciplinary cross-cutting theme.
The transmission of knowledge and expertise on the management of World Heritage Sites is one of the core tasks of the international network. In 2013 HerMan-participants came to Regensburg for a ‘Best-Practice’-Visit and the City soon will welcome representatives of the project partners to a staff exchange, at which these will get insights into the structure of the city council.
